A group of liberal Protestant and Jewish denominations issued a statement Wednesday affirming transgenderism as “holy” in repudiation of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, which voted the same day to formalize long-standing guidance prohibiting Catholic healthcare facilities from performing transgender procedures.
